More Digicel money for Grenada

Digicel, one of the fastest growing telecommunication operators in the Caribbean, has committed another US$35,000 to Grenadian victims of Hurricane Ivan.

This latest relief effort is in the form of medical supplies to hospitals, tents and police equipment.

An earlier donation of EC$1 million was made through the Red Cross. Digicel is also giving over EC$1 million in free call credit to the people of Grenada. {{more}}

“The damage caused by Hurricane Ivan has been astronomical and Digicel is committed to getting the island of Grenada back on its feet,” said Kevin White, Digicel Eastern Caribbean CEO.

Digicel also donated over US$3 million to the National Office of Reconstruction in Jamaica.
