Stubbs Primary gets new bathroom

Students of the Stubbs Government School are now enjoying an improved lavatory system.
This comes thanks to a University of the West Indies Distance Education Centre (UWIDEC) project carried out by Hyacinth Richards, a teacher at the institution.
Richards improved the school’s lavatory system, which was in dire need of repairs, by installing urinals, dispensers and giving the toilet area a face-lift by repainting it. She also had an 800-gallon water tank installed.{{more}}
The project, part of Richards’ requirement for the fulfilment of a Bachelor Degree in Educational Administration, was completed one month prior to its May 14 deadline.
The project, which cost EC$7,900, was sponsored by the Ministry of Communications and Works, Richie’s Poultry, Yankee Girl Investment, Bryden & Sprotts, Elvis Joslyn, Dr. St. Clair Thomas, Mr. and Mrs. Theophilus Huggins, Theophilus Roderiques, the PTA, past students and tradesmen.
