Soon there will be Cuatro

Grade 3 students of St. Mary’s R.C. Primary School now have an opportunity to learn to play the cuatro.
The instruments were provided by the Venezuelan Company, through the Embassy, which is supplying materials for the Government low-income houses. The cuatro was once a very popular instrument in S.V.G., being part of our unique “string band” which was comprised of a bamboo, flute, banjo, cuatro, guitar, maracas and drum. Cuatro music is a part of St. Mary’s R.C. School’s music programme; other musical instruments include the recorder, the violin and the drum.
