Oliver Jordan now at First Caribbean

FirstCaribbean International Bank has appointed Oliver Jordan to the position of managing director.
Jordan, who resigned from his position as president and CEO of the Barbados Tourism Authority, now has primary responsibility for the bank’s corporate business in Barbados, St. Maarten and the British Virgin Islands. Jordan will also be country manager for Barbados with responsibility for chairing the Country Management Committee and managing external relationships with regulators, governments and the local community.{{more}}
Jordan will report to Executive Director of Corporate Banking Horace Cobham, who in making the announcement said: “We are extremely pleased to have someone of Oliver’s calibre join our team in Barbados. Our policy at FirstCaribbean is to recruit persons of the highest capability, and we believe that with his vast experience in business, and particularly with his most recent experience as president and CEO of the Barbados Tourism Authority, Oliver fits that profile.”
In addition to his tenure at the BTA, Jordan has held positions with a number of entities in Canada and the Cayman Islands. These include KPMG, Deloitte & Touche and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. With academic achievements that include a Masters in Business Administration from York University and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto, Jordan is also a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Barbados and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
