Best of SVG win opens more doors for event planning company
With event planner JoChe Moments, you get more than what you pay for.
And that is why the seven-year-old business, owned and operated by Chris and Latoya John, copped the award for Best Event Planner in the 2018 Best of SVG competition.
“One thing we hear from our repeat customers and our new customers over and over is that you always get more than what you pay for.
“When persons are finished doing a service with us, whether it’s a wedding, an event, a conference, a dinner, anything, you know what we are told at then end? ‘Oh my God we didn’t realize that you would get so much, I feel like I got my money’s worth,’” Latoya told SEARCHLIGHT recently.
Latoya added that part of the secret behind their success is the professionalism of their employees. She said she would like to say special thanks to their employees as good workers are important in any business and JoChe moments cannot run right without its employees.
“They go above and beyond and are household names and we want to thank them for making sure our customers get the best. We won’t survive without our workers,” said Latoya.
In relation to winning the Best of SVG award, Latoya said it is nice to be recognized for hard work in the industry.
“We went up against two reputable companies, so it is very good to be recognized,” Latoya noted.
She added, “I think a lot more people know about us now. It has definitely opened more doors in the corporate world.”
In encouraging other business owners, Latoya said that persons must, “go for it” and don’t be afraid to start small.
She added that some ventures are not always profitable from the start and persons must realize this and not be afraid to invest and reinvest in their businesses.
“Don’t get frustrated and angry that you are not further, it takes time,” Latoya advises while adding, “treat your customers right and the money will come.”
JoChe specializes in all events including weddings, conferences, birthday parties, dinners and corporate events.
“Our favourite type of events are reunions,” Latoya said smiling.
