Ganja found in concrete work

What will they think of next?

Last week, 105 lbs of marijuana was found encased in masonry work, fabricated to look like quarry stones.

The loot was discovered at Ottley Hall.

Asordo Benett of Rilland Hill was charged in connection with the find and appeared at the Kingstown Magistrate’s Court on July 24.

He was charged that on July 20, 2017, at the Ottley Hall Marina, he had in his possession a controlled drug, to wit 47,670 grams of cannabis, with intent to supply. He also faces an additional charge of drug trafficking.

The Rilland Hill man pleaded not guilty to both charges and was granted bail in the sum of EC$60,000, with one surety.
