Eddie Peters – netball’s Spectator of the Year

If there was one spectator that was ever present at the 2017 FLOW National Netball Tournament, it was Eddie Peters.

Referring to himself as “a lover of netball”, Peters was rewarded for his persistent attendance at matches at the Kingstown Netball Centre, by gaining the St Vincent and the Grenadines Netball Association’s (SVGNA) Spectator of the Year award.

For his loyalty to the tournament, Peters was presented with tokens, compliments of sponsor FLOW.

Peters joined the MVPs of the participating teams, who were recognized among the departmental stand-outs. 

The MVPs in Division One were, from Dr Jules Ferdinand ASCO, Joseann Antoine; Dutch Lady Clinchers, Kenisha Francis; Metrocint General Insurance Maple, Suzette Jordan; Sea Operation Nar Fren Dem, Mia Durrant; Twilight Trading X-Ceed, Maryann Frederick and Western Union Mitres, Nicole Sandy-Stevenson.

The awardees named in Division Two were, from Everready Future Stars, Deborah Robinson; French Verandah X-Ceed, Rosannia Stephens; G &T Combined, Curlyn John; Green Hill Sports & Cultural Club, Charlene Wyllie; Island Blends Maple, Chanise Hall; Nice Radio Clinchers, Kemisha Antoine; along with SVG General Services Strikers Sr’s Mylene Chance and from Third World Man Shop Pacers, Nicole London.

Blue Horizon Pacers’ recipient was Cindy Pierre-Charles, while from Dancing Iguana Netters, it was Sameisha Allicott; New Era Pepper Stars, Molissa Ashton; OSCO Ball Warriors, Jonelle John; SVG General Services Maple, Shanice Humphrey; and X-Ceed Sports Club, Antonelle Douglas; these made up awardees from Division Three.

Obtaining the MVP award for the Buccament Bay Secondary School was Laquanda Soso, while for the Bethel High School, it was Zaria Solomon; from the Girls’ High School, Juaique Williams, the Intermediate High School, Zaneke George and the Sandy Bay Secondary School, Danielle Michael round up the Division Four presentations.

The Buccament Bay Secondary School was listed as the Most Disciplined Team, as well as the Most Improved Team in the tournament.
