Medical patients appeal for public to support fund-raiser ‘Way Maker’
Redemption Sharpes resident Kagiso Antrobus and Calder resident Clara John-Smart are asking the public to support their fund-raising event.
Both Antrobus and John-Smart suffer from serious medical conditions and are seeking to raise funds at a gospel concert, scheduled for July 1 at the Harvest Bible Chapel in Arnos Vale.
The concert, dubbed âWay Makerâ, will feature performances from some of the countryâs most popular gospel singers, including Ronnie Richardson, Kelsie Haynes, Stacie Little, Jahleel Cruickshank, Kiokya Cruickshank, Flow Gospel Band and Spoken Word. The event will also feature the KLT Dancers.
Antrobus has dermatomyositis (rare inflammatory disease), while John-Smart has lupus and kidney problems. Both are devoted Christians.
âI am encouraging everyone to come out to the medical fund-raising event and support us and be blessed,â said Antrobus, who needs to see doctors overseas to keep her condition under control.
Adults are being asked to pay EC$20 and kids under 12 EC$10.
