Mother, daughter star against Radcliffe Girls
The mother and daughter combination of Cordel and Xharie Jack, starred with bat and ball respectively, as United Survivors routed Radcliffe Girls, in the Womenâs 40-Over Cricket Competition.
Cordel slammed her third century in this yearâs competition â 111 not out, as she belted 13 fours and 2 sixes, around the Stubbs Playing Field. Also recording a store of note was Kimone Homer, who struck 5 fours in her 50, as United Survivors piled on 223 for 3 from 30 overs.
Bowling for Radcliffe Girls, Melisia Charles took 2 for 45.
In Radcliffeâs response of 80 all out in 20.1 overs. Xharie Jack, Cordelâs daughter, was the pick of the bowling, bagging 5 for 23.
Saturdayâs other fixture, played at the Park Hill Playing Field, ended in a six-wicket win for JG Tigress over Garifuna Stars.
Choosing to bat, Garifuna Starsâ batting did not click, as only Juliana Neroâs 26 and 38 extras propped their innings of 110 all out from 23.5 overs.
Bowling for JG Tigress, Shonica Campbell had 3 for 7 and Shaniza Daniel, 2 for 22.
Stacy Ann Adams then lashed 36 and aided by a contribution of 34 extras, JG Tigress rallied to 111 for 4 from 20.2 overs.
Juliana Nero was Garifuna Starsâ most successful bowler, taking 2 for 15.
