Shefflorn dedicates new book to family, friends of fallen College students
When Shefflorn Ballantyne started writing his new book, titled Surviving Grief and Loss, a few months ago, he obviously had no idea that he would be dedicating it to the family and friends of three Vincentian Community College students who lost their lives in a fatal accident on January 29th, 2017. The students were in Barbados on internship as part of their final year Hospitality and Culinary Art programme at the Division of Technical and Vocational Education of the SVGCC.
Shefflorn hopes that the words in his book would bring comfort to the broken heart of many, by pointing readers to the Divine Source of comfort.
His new book comes on the anniversary of his first book. Seventy (70) pages long, Surviving Grief and Loss explores various personal experiences of the author in handling grief, Godâs perspective on this subject, how we find
meaning and purpose for our lives in spite of our personal loss, and practical ways of handing grief and loss.
The ebook will be launched online this Sunday, March 19th and will be available on Amazon in Kindle format for free for two days until mid-night Monday, March 20th. Readers will also have the chance to download a FREE 7-day daily devotional as an added bonus.
Surviving Grief and Loss will be available in paperback format at local book stores by the end of April.
