What are your views on the decommissioned ET Joshua Airport being used as an entertainment centre?

Gideon Bramble – Owner of Bramble’s Barbershop

There is nothing wrong with the spot. I find it is a nice spot, at the end of the day, to make like an entertainment and performing arts centre to put off nice activities.

Oscar King – Owner of ‘Oscar De Jeweller’ Jewelry Shop

I think it’s something that the people have to get accustomed to… because we just opened an international airport and we looking at tourism as one of the factors to help in the country’s development, so we have to embrace it. The nightlife would increase in St Vincent; so obviously, if Arnos Vale has to be the point where them things have to start happening… why not?

Colin Graham – Radio Personality at Hot 97

My only concern with the venue at the ET Joshua airport is that now that it’s no longer going to be an airport, what is going to happen to the name ET Joshua? Would we just erase it out of our history books like that? Or are we going to find some other means to put his name on?

Jamille Wilson – Certified Nail Tech

I say a no-no, because first of all it’s a residential area and if they do want to do that, it has to be indoor or in an enclosed space, so it won’t distract the people living around there.

Everty Dougan – Salesman

I think that Arnos Vale turning into an entertainment centre would be better because for once Victoria Park would get a proper rest for football and for sports, so turning out there into an entertainment centre would be good. It has more space so it could hold almost everybody and basically we going to turn Arnos Vale into a town so why not have an entertainment centre?

Deighton Welcome – Salesman

Arnos Vale go be a better place, because it’s a better environment; it could hold much more people and people can’t complain about the noise – that would be one of the most important reasons, the noise, and it’s a good environment; it’s the perfect place.

Josiah Cuffy – Barber at Bramble’s Barbershop

The use of Arnos Vale airport for entertainment purposes is a good idea. I think it would be a very good start to nightlife in St Vincent and the Grenadines because we have an international airport now, so that would be one of the positives for tourists coming into the country. It would be something that they will come to meet, something to bring them, I don’t think anything is wrong with it.
