Vincentian Int’l Recording Artiste Attends Prestigious Latino Awards Event
Vincentian international recording artiste Kevin Lyttle, whose song âTurn Me Onâ was an extraordinary hit around the world, last Saturday (February 18) attended a cocktail party to announce the seventh edition of the Latino Show Conference and Awards 2017.
The event took place in Miami (Florida) and was sponsored by Latino Show Magazine â a bilingual magazine released in the United States and Colombia for all things entertainment, fashion and life & style.
The Latino Show Conference and Awards 2017 is the most important music conference in Colombia. This year, the conference (which includes panels, exhibitors and showrooms) will take place from October 23 â 25 in MedellÃn (Colombia); and will culminate with the Latino Show Awards â which recognize some of todayâs most important Latino artistes and musicians.
During last Saturdayâs event, Lyttle took to the stage with Colombian singer Astra, with the duo performing a new version of âTurn Me Onâ called âTurn Me On Fuegoâ.
In 2003, âTurn Me onâ featured in the top 10 of music charts around the world, including the UK, Australia, Germany, Italy, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Denmark, Switzerland, Sweden, Norway, Austria and the U.S. Both the album (of the same name) and the single sold over 5 million copies.
To celebrate the 15th anniversary of the release of âTurn Me Onâ, the Vincentian artiste and producer is working on a commemorative album that will include new versions of the song featuring other artistes.
Among these new versions is one with recording artiste Rubio (already available on all digital platforms), and another with deejay trio Cheat Codes and Dutch producer Dante Klein. This version, titled âLet Me Hold You (Turn Me On)â has already reached over 227 million plays on Spotify.
Last October, Lyttle â who last year launched his own record company Tarakon Records to take the reins of his own career â released another single âMidnightâ. The song, featuring Puerto Rican singer Nengo Flow, peaked at the top of the Billboard Tropical chart.
Additionally, late last year Lyttle not only released his single âSlow Motionâ (already available on all digital platforms) but he also finished his 25-date Australian tour.
Recently, Kevin Lyttle signed with U.S company L.I.M Publishing to expand his work and music across the Latin American market; where he has a considerable number of fans thanks to his achievements and recent collaborations with other Latino artistes.
Other hits during his career include âDrive Me Crazyâ, the compilation album âI Love Carnivalâ (which includes his hit âHome for Carnivalâ) and âAnywhereâ featuring U.S recording artiste Flo Rida.
Due to his commercial and artistic achievements, Saint Vincent and the Grenadinesâ government named Lyttle one of its Cultural Ambassadors. Also, the singer established the Janice Lyttle Foundation in memory of his late mother. The non-profit organization supports the fight against cardiovascular diseases.
