Dubbed, âHottest Hair Show,â unique hairstyles created by proprietor of the salon Princess Diamond and her employee, Nicole Rawlins, were showcased.
Also present at the show was New York hairstylist and educator Cheryl Richards.
A dress made entirely from hair extensions also graced the catwalk at the show.
âWe have lots of styles created from hair in its entiretyâ¦we hope to create even more things, so people can be amazed,â Diamond stated.
Diamond told SEARCHLIGHT that she had the show to inspire youths in St Vincent and the Grenadines to appreciate the art of cosmetology and witness the benefits that can be derived from the market.
She also explained that the show was a way of commemorating the establishmentâs 28th anniversary.
âWe had a very good turnoutâ¦It was wonderful. I am really, really happy of how it turned out,â Diamond said.
Because of the great feedback she has received, the entrepreneur hopes to have another show next year.
âPersons have been texting me from that time until now,â she revealed. âIt is already in planning right nowâ¦to have a bigger and better show next yearâ.
Hair products Soft and Silky and Brendaâs Best from Barbados were also featured at the show.
Additionally, the salon hosted an advanced cutting class on Monday, during which Richards shared her expertise with attendees.
Diamond thanked all her sponsors for making the show possible.
âThanks for supporting us. We appreciate it tremendously and we hope that you continue to support us throughout the year,â she said.
Sponsors for the hair show included SEARCHLIGHT, Vitamalt, National Lotteries Ltd, LIME, Frank B. Armstrong, COURTS St Vincent Ltd, Kismet Inc, Office Essentials and many others.
