The band will be featuring eight sections comprising six adult and two junior sections and are as follows: Dharma, Artha, Kama, Moksha, Nirvana (teens), The Wedding (night Mas presentation) and the Guardians (girls) and Mystic Sayers (boys).

Having referred to themselves as innovators, the creators of this year’s presentation have continued to be the leaders of change.

“We decided to stray from the normal beads and bikinis and feathers and go into a more exotic presentation,” Cleo Huggins, spokesperson for the band said.

“We are going into the pallets of one of the richest cultures of the world coming out of India and we are making it very exotic, while sticking to our tradition as leaders in creating something new,” she continued.

Sutra means Hindu, Huggins explained and this year’s presentation includes a lot of work with fabrics and beading.

“So its quite an ornate costume in each section,” she said.

Huggins contended that the numbers continue to grow, which is a good sign as it shows that Ahdrenalin is really having an impact.

The party has been in existence for five years and has enjoyed some level of success, Huggins said, including copping the second spot in the 2011 Junior King competition and third place in the 2010 Queen of the Bands competition.

But, according to Huggins, the focus is not so much on winning but to continue on with the tradition of offering their masqueraders a unique party experience.

“We want to ensure that our masqueraders are comfortable, that they have the party of a lifetime and that they remember it for giving them a true carnival experience,” she explained.

“Numasutra is your opportunity to have the best experience of your life,” Huggins added.
