College student third in ‘Miss Caraïbe des lycées’

Leeonney Bentick, a first year student at the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Community College Division of Arts, Sciences and General Studies, placed third in Guadeloupe’s first ‘Miss Caraïbe des lycées’ (Ms. Caribbean College) pageant.{{more}}

The pageant was hosted by Synergie Caraïbe of Guadeloupe at the Gérard Marianne de Capesterre belle-eau (Guadeloupe) gymnasium on Saturday, March 5.

Bentick was trained here by Annette Francois and in Guadeloupe, where she was accompanied by her chaperone Annille Beache.

The contest brought together 11 participants from various Caribbean islands, including the Dominican Republic, French Guiana, Guadeloupe, Martinique, St. Maarten and St. Vincent and the Grenadines. The students competed in three categories: traditional wear, swim wear and evening wear.
