The Paget Farm Government School, in conjunction with the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA), will be making history on Friday, March 11, 2011, as they present Bequia’s first Heritage Pageant. According to PTA President, Sunior Joseph, it promises to be a night of great entertainment and also a learning experience.

The event will be held at the school’s compound.

Seven beautiful girls will grace the stage in various categories, including cultural wear, talent and interview segments. The participants, of ages nine and ten years, will portray different aspects of the Vincentian culture: National Heroes Day, Nine Mornings, Breadfruit Festival, Gospel Festival, Bequia Easter Regatta, Independence and Emancipation.

Joseph said that the PTA and the school have been working hand in hand to promote this event and to showcase the talent in the young people.
