112 puts SVG among top 10 beautiful spots in the world

Their names are Q, Daron, Mike and Slim and they make up the talented R&B group 112. We know you ladies gave them much love and trust me, as they did on stage, they gave the love right back in this interview.

You know BuzZ Magazine will give you the scoop and get up close and personal with them. So ladies…here’s what the guys had to say. ENJOY!

HOW DID YOU ENJOY THE SHOW?{{more}}

Daron: The whole thing was wonderful, the crowd was really feeling us and we were really feeling them. We felt a lot of love, a lot of people came out, it was off the chain.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO THE BLUES FEST ORGANISING COMMITTEE TO IMPROVE THE FESTIVAL?

Slim: They are definitely making all the right moves so far by just getting a lot of shine towards this island. I believe the more you all do these types of events the more artistes will love to come. They will probably be begging you all to come and let them do a show. It’s very beautiful. This island definitely needs to be highly recommended for probably like the 10 top beautiful spots in the world. It’s very, very beautiful.

112 HAVE BEEN WITH BAD BOY RECORDS BUT YOU HAVE NOW SIGNED ON TO DEF JAM. HOW IS THAT TRANSITION?

Slim: Well, labels are just labels. The great thing about 112 is that we are very self-contained and we don’t allow labels to dictate our future.

We’ve been veterans in this game and know that when you get to a certain part of your career you kind of take hold of the threshold and we are pretty much the leaders of our fate.

So you know no matter what labels we go to or whatever happens to 112, as long as we stay unified and we ride out our plan, our ballpark you know will be great.

WHAT’S FOR THE FUTURE?

Daron: I would imagine, you know, hopefully we’ll be doing albums. We’ll be touring; we’ll be making good music. We want to be known as the greatest.

Q: When we go back we’ll be heading to Atlanta, Georgia and continue recording our sixth album. Probably it will be released by the summer, but 112 is always touring, we are always performing.

WERE YOU SURPRISED THAT A LOT OF VINCENTIANS KNEW YOUR SONGS?

Slim: No; not at all. In an interview on the radio people were calling in and letting us know that we had fans. It’s a beautiful thing and we wish that it would continue to grow. We are still gonna put out good music as long as the fans keep supporting us. Then we are gonna be all right and hopefully get a chance to come back out here. We really, really want to.

Slim (continues): Can I do some shout outs? Ok, we want to give our shout outs to Kevin Lyttle, you know what I’m saying. Much love on his song. It’s a good love song, you know what I mean and that will be a good thing too. Maybe we could do collaboration in Soca.

WHAT ARE YOUR IMPRESSIONS OF THE COUNTRY?

Q: I think of how nice the people are. Since we landed here everybody has been caring for us and very hospitable. Again I can’t say enough about Young Island and the hospitality that they have shown us. It’s definitely a get away vacation, you know, I mean, we definitely will go back and say great things about the people.

Mike: One thing I can say though, I will remember overall is the beautiful black people, with all the textures and colours and shades. You know, we all are the same people. I was asking the driver a lot of questions and one of them was, “What do I call the people here?”

Then he asked me what do I call the black people back home, and I said we call them “brother.” And I felt that, that was hot right there. Just to know that it was all unified. That is what I will remember!

Slim: We were really amazed at the country, it’s a very beautiful spot, very romantic. Next time I come, somebody from St.Vincent will definitely have to join me. It was kind of lonely but it was very romantic, very, very romantic. Very hot spot…very, very hot spot!

ANY FINAL WORDS?

Daron: Thank you all for supporting 112, thank you all for coming out and sharing with us the love.

Q: I just want to say stay tuned because 112 and St.Vincent will make the connection. To be continued! (laughs and makes a suspense musical sound) Ta Da Da Da!!!

Slim: Last but not least, shout out to the beautiful women out there…INCREDIBLE! Slim is just trying to have a daughter…(laughs) I’m just kidding. For real, man, we just want to come backn.
