Meet the Miss East ST. George Contestants
Digicel Rising Star Second runner up contestant Kimberly Innis from Barbados is set to perform at the East St George queen and Calypso show.
Festivities organized by the East St. George Carnival Committee kick off on Wednesday June 8 with a âCarnival Culture Mix.â {{more}}
The event will see modelling from the âImage Modelling Agencyâ, a comedy segment from Earl âOle Georgeâ Daniel, an Extempo Competition, pan from the Potential Steel Orchestra and a water drinking competition.
On June 10, five calypsonians and six beauty contestants compete for the titles of Calypso Monarch and Miss East St. George at Club Marcomay. The contestants are: Samantha Alexander-Miss Calliaqua, sponsored by Derrick Construction; Afesha Crease-Miss Glen, sponsored by Sprott Distributors; Inka John-Miss Fairhall, sponsored by East St.George Carnival Committee; Roseann Primus-Miss Ratho Mill, sponsored by Barefoot Yatch Charters and SVG Air and Leanna Simon-Miss Villa, sponsored by the East St George Carnival Committee.
The calpysonians to appear are defending monarch Kijah Gani, Gosnel âGCâ Cupid, Roland âChico Bâ Cato, Eardly âGringoâ Bennett and Winston âTrumpâ Thomas.
On Saturday June 11, the Jâouvert and old mas competition are set for the Calliaqua Playing Field along with a street jump up.
Sunday June 12 will see another street jump and âCarnival Blow Outâ at the Calliaqua Playing where two big bands and numerous Soca artistes will perform.
