According to Junior Jacobs: âWe are celebrating in a big way, we want to make the people know that we are celebrating our third anniversary and we are thankful for the support they have been giving us for the past three years.â
The musical outfit, which has been on air with Hot 97 Fm since its inception has managed to captivate quite a large following especially among the younger audience.
âWe always try to keep that community spirit,â Jacobs said.
With an island tour schedule for May, Jocobs explained that as part of the celebration activities they will be looking to give back something to the communities. âI hope what we do will bring back that community spirit to the places we touch,â said Jacobs.
This Saturday, Club Iguana will come ablaze when the entertainment outfit pay tribute to women under the theme âHaice, Gold and Greenâ as part of their anniversary. After three years together in what they describe as the âstruggleâ, the group now boasts of having played alongside some of the best deejays in the business.
âWe have played alongside the likes of Tony Matheron, among others. Last year we played at a party at the Prime Minsterâs residence…so we can hold our own weight,â said Kendol Grant.
âPlaying alongside Matheron was a dream come through, as he is one of my mentors,â Grant said.
âWe are inviting everyone to come out and be apart of this celebration on Saturday at the Iguana,â Grant said.
