Cinnamon Butter
I came upon this recipe a few years back and as it had cinnamon in it I was hooked. It’s so delicious that my kids eat it from time to time now as well. It’s perfect on warm toast.
You will need:
1/ 2 cup unsalted butter room temperature
1/ 4 cup honey
1/ 4 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 pinch salt
Method:
In a medium bowl, beat butter, honey, sugar and cinnamon until smooth. Add salt and beat until smooth.
Taste and adjust salt, honey, and cinnamon to your preferences.
Serve with bread and other baked goods. See post above for more information on storage.
Tips: Sometimes I use white sugar as a substitute for the honey and powdered sugar. As you know the sugar has to melt so that you don’t have crunchy crystals in your mouth. Also if I don’t have the time, I would toast the bread with the butter on it to melt the sugar. If you are using a frying pan to toast then simply put the butter on one side and place it face down in a pan on low heat and let the butter and sugar melt. It’s great with any method.
