Why can’t my boyfriend show me more affection?

How can I get my boyfriend to be more affectionate and tell me he loves me more often? I tell him that I love him all the time and do special things for him. Why can’t he do the same for me? Well, you seem to be at a crossroads. This is very normal at this stage of many relationships, because the lovey-dovey stage has passed and you are seeing and picking apart each other’s flaws.

Sometimes you have to step back and look at the whole picture – in this case the whole person. Then ask yourself does the good outweigh the bad? Are these issues you can work on together as a couple? Do you see a future with your partner? These are real questions you have to ask.

Also please realize that you may be doing things that could be working his last nerve as well. Remember it goes both ways and if you guys start talking openly, you have to be open to hearing his complaints about you. So, be patient; I know you can work this out.
