Hope International crowned Over-40s Football Champions

A FREE KICK from Randolph Williams that left South Leeward Unified’s goal keeper, Clayton James having to retrieve the ball from the back of the net, was the decider in the final of the Pros Tools & Services FC Sweaterz Over-40s Invitational Competition last weekend.

The goal resulted in On Trac Hope International lifting the inaugural title last Sunday night, April 13, 2025, at the Calliaqua Playing Field.

For winning the title, Hope International earned themselves $2,000, while second place, South Leeward Unified got $1,000.

Third place, Largo Height, who defeated Richmond Hill 1-0, thanks to a Cleus Codougan strike, earned themselves $500, along with $300, as they collected the On Trac Maxwell Bennett award for topping the preliminary phase of the competition.

Meanwhile, Vintage Gold won the plate on penalties, after they drew 1-1 with Layou in the best of the losers final.

For winning the plate, Vintage Gold got $300, and $200 plus a trophy from an un-named donor for being adjudged the most disciplined team.

Among the individual awards- player of the final, Randolph Williams pocketed $200, along with an undisclosed sum from a spectator.
