NDP to ULP: Ring the Bell
The Parliamentary opposition New Democratic Party (NDP) is promising to rescue St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) whenever the next general elections are called.
This is the promise of party leader, Dr Godwin Friday, who claimed on the party’s New Times Programme on Monday, March 31, that the sooner elections are called, the better it will be for the country.
“We will rescue St Vincent and the Grenadines come next elections,” Friday told listeners.
He said the sooner the next general elections come, the better it will be for the country which continues “to slide further and further behind.”
Friday claimed that the ruling Unity Labour Party (ULP) has a record which shows growing poverty, unemployment and crime, among other things.”
“They have had 24 years and St Vincent and the Grenadines has not moved forward since that time.”
