Barrouallie man wishes decomposed brother had not died alone
A Barrouallie man, whose brother’s decomposed body was found in the mountains on March 17, 2025, wishes that he had not died alone, or was at least found earlier.
Errol ‘Emron’ John’s body is believed to have been lying in the mountains of Barrouallie for over one week, and his family is “sad” that they were not by side when he took his last breath.
Reynold ‘Dopey’ John told SEARCHLIGHT that his brother Errol, resided in Trinidad but his mental health had begun to deteriorate.
“We end up go for him.”
On returning home, Reynold said Errol had been living with him but moved to the mountains soon after, where he lived alone for over 10 years.
However, Errol would venture down into the town every day, and they would see each other on a regular basis.
Two days before Errol died, Reynold said he enquired about his brother’s well-being from one of Errol’s good friends, who frequents the area.
“He say he spoke to ‘Emron’ some time aback there, and he answered him and everything, but when he go up Monday, he called him and he did not answer…he go up by the shanty…and he meet him dead.”
Reynold, who was at work on the day his brother’s decomposed body was found, said he was informed that his brother was found dead in the mountains that day. He informed the police and they later visited the scene.
