Cruickshank to be buried on April 6

Former teacher and parliamentarian, Allan Cruickshank will be laid to rest on Sunday, April 6, 2025.

Cruickshank died on March 1, 2025 at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital, Kingstown at age 73.

His official funeral will take pace at the New Grounds Primary School compound.

Viewing will be from noon, and the funeral service begins at 1:00 p.m.

Cruickshank once served as General Secretary of the New Democratic Party ( NDP) and represented the South Central Windward Constituency in parliament from 1984-2001.

During that time, he held several ministerial portfolios, including Minister of Foreign Affairs; and Minister of Tourism and Information.

Prior to entering politics at age 33, Cruickshank was a teacher.

Following the funeral service, Cruickshank’s mortal remains will be laid to rest at the San Souci Cemetery.
