Vincentian cop dies in the UK

Deceased police officer Constable 504 Alford Jacobs has been described by his colleagues as an exemplary lawman who will be remembered for his unwavering dedication and selfless service.

According to a source out of the United Kingdom (UK), Jacobs who was in phase one, week two, of training in the British Army was found unresponsive on Tuesday March 11, 2025 after a session. Attempts to revive him proved futile.

“Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the loss of PC 504 Jacobs. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and fellow officers during this difficult time,” Commissioner of Police (COP) Enville Williams stated in a release.

Jacobs enlisted in the Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines (RSVGPF) on December 31, 2007, and served for 17 years and two months.

“He was highly respected by colleagues and community alike for his professionalism and dedication to his duty. His sudden loss is very heartbreaking to the local law enforcement community,” the Commissioner stated in the release.

“The Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force is providing support to the family of the late PC Jacobs and his colleagues during this difficult time. Funeral service details will be shared with the public once arrangements are finalized,” the police press release said, while extending condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of Jacobs.
