‘Grace’ gets the nod for ULP in North Windward
To loud shouts of “aye”, the members and supporters of the Unity Labour Party (ULP) North Windward Constituency Council endorsed the candidacy of Dr. Grace Walters as the party’s standard bearer to contest that constituency in the next general elections due by November, 2025.
Before hundreds of people at the Sandy Bay Government School on Sunday, February 23, 2025, Walters accepted the resounding endorsement to carry the torch for the ULP, which was passed on from the incumbent, Montgomery Daniel.

The Administrator at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital will now have her name forwarded to the North Windward constituency’s screening committee, and then to the party’s central executive for ratification.
“Comrades of North Windward, people of Labour…this election is not a fight for power. This election is an opportunity to continue to progress,” Walters
said in her maiden political speech, urging all ULP supporters to put on their walking shoes and get their water bottles, adding, “… and according to comrade Saboto Caesar …drink plenty of cocoa tea and eat doughboy” for stamina to hit the campaign trail.
