Constituency Council chooses Grenville Williams as ULP South Leeward candidate
Delegates of the South Leeward constituency branch of the Unity Labour Party (ULP), last Saturday, February 15, 2025 unanimously endorsed Grenville Williams to be the party’s standard bearer in the next general elections.
The selection of Williams, who is currently this country’s Attorney-General, was made before a standing room only crowd at the Retreat Community Centre in Vermont.
His name will now go forward to the ULP’s candidate selection committee for approval by the Central Executive, and then to the party’s National Council for final approval.
Williams was officially endorsed by former ULP candidate for the constituency, David Browne, who was followed to the podium by Prime Minister and Party Leader Dr. Ralph Gonsalves, who spoke of the work experience of Attorney-General Williams.
