Saudi Arabia donates timely medical supplies to SVG

Seventeen health facilities across St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) were damaged during the passage of Hurricane Beryl on July 1,last year with laboratory and pharmaceutical services being the worst affected of the health services.

This was revealed by Director Health Security, Donna Joyette Bacsombe during a recent handover of medical supplies and equipment by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the Solomon Humanitarian aid and Relief Center.

The Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment (MOHWE), received more than a dozen containers with hospital equipment, beds, bed covers, medication- including antibiotics, hygiene kits, neonatal materials such as birthing beds- as well as generators. Additional containers are expected to land in SVG for the full donation valued at approximately US$2.5 million.
