Keep your IDs with you always: SVG Consul General to the USA

There are currently persons who are being loaded onto military aircraft and being sent back by the US administration to their countries. Therefore, St Vincent and the Grenadines’s Consul General to the USA, Rondy ‘Luta’ McIntosh is advising US-based Vincentians to keep their identification documents with them “everywhere they go.”

McIntosh said in an interview on WEFM on Wednesday, January 29,2025 that there was currently one Vincentian in United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) custody for deportation. He hastened to point out it does not mean that persons who have committed petty crimes and have overstayed their time in the USA are considered as non-criminals.

“…they will get an order from the judge: Okay, you have one month, or you have two months to leave the US. Those persons are not in custody, but have already received deportation orders.”
