Making Waves: Vincentian make-up artist continues to shine on the international circuit

Vincentian, Kirk Cambridge-Delpesche has been announced as part of the crew for the West End premiere of Disney’s Hercules, opening at Theatre Royal Drury Lane in London this Summer.

The Vincentian born make-up artist who signed with Summit Entertainment Group LLC., in  2021 was also the make-up designer for the touring Broadway revival of The Wiz, and was in Germany last year where he also did the make-up design for “Hercules”.

He told SEARCHLIGHT over the weekend that he was proud to be part of the production, as he continues to put the country of his birth on the map through his expertise.

Articles about the production mentions Cambridge-Delpesche as the make-up designer, while other personnel working on the set include costume design by Gregg Barnes and Sky Switser and hairstyles and wigs designer Mia M. Neal.

Cambridge-Delpesche is the first Vincentian to reach these heights in the make-up industry. He has worked on numerous shows on and off Broadway including Birthday Candles; Skin of our Teeth; Merrily We Roll Along; Into the Woods and Through My Window (Melissa Etheridge).

He also has been the face of cosmetic brand Aprilskin, the first Vincentian to represent the brand, and has held a number of jobs in the cosmetic industry in the USA for over 20 years. Among them, M.A.C Cosmetics (as a manager and make-up artist); Disney (where he did tours in USA, Asia, Europe and Africa); FELA!, on Broadway (worked with wig mistress Cookie Jordan); Harvard University (makeup designer in the theatrical department); the New York Philharmonic; High School Musical (Former Hair and Makeup Supervisor); Bard College (former makeup designer); and the Boston Opera.

Cambridge-Delpesche has worked locally with among others, Jean Johnny- Findlay of Mije Personal Development and Advertising Agency, as well as with SEARCHLIGHT’s Best of SVG make-up artist winner, Auldine Browne. Back in December, 2017 the duo presented a make-up master class tutorial session.

His portfolio also includes work with BareMinerals; the Opera Company of Philadelphia; Boston Symphony Orchestra; and New York Symphony Orchestra.

Cambridge-Delpesche has also been displayed on international runways, and in shoots, magazines, music videos and on television, and his services have been used by private and celebrity clients and businesses.
