Luxury Apartment, Medi-spa coming to Villa
by Eldonté Samuel
A new luxury apartment and Medi-spa is scheduled to be constructed in the East St George constituency at Villa, by July 2025.
Dr Arusha Campbell-Chambers in celebrating the groundbreaking ceremony of Villa Views, shared her vision for the project while expressing pride in SVG’s beauty.
“If there’s one thing we know how to do, is to shine, and that we do with our natural warmth, with our love with our vibe…we have so much to offer in St. Vincent and the Grenadines guys, nobody is better than us and we’re not better than anybody, but we have our unique thing to offer.”
Campbell-Chambers said she does not plan for the luxury apartment to be in any sort of competition; she is looking forward to working with everyone in the growth of the tourism sector.
“So it’s a win-win for all of us, I think there’s room for everybody, it’s not a competition thing. We all can grow. We all have a different experience to offer and the sky’s the limit- there is no limit! So I’m excited!”
She said joyfully, “We have people looking at CNN, in the States and seeing St. Vincent being advertised. And we had the privilege- mommy and I, to be guests at Sandals on Sunday evening and we were like; this is St. Vincent and the Grenadines! there was a feeling of pride when you saw Sandals, St. Vincent and the Grenadines”.
Chambers, the daughter of the late Parnel Campbell and Julie Campbell, thanked her family for supporting the realisation of this vision as she honoured her parents for their perseverance and unconditional love.
“You see if it wasn’t for mommy’s vision and insight decades ago, we will not be standing on this parcel of land today. She had the vision to make that initial investment…if it wasn’t for her and her example and a crazy faith, we would not be here today…so mommy, I honour you, I celebrate you, I thank you,” Campbell-Chambers said.
Dr Arusha Campbell Chambers is a dermatologist and founder of Dermatology Solutions. She has businesses in two locations Jamaica, one in St.Vincent and the Grenadines, and in Antigua. She trained at the University of the West-Indies, Mona and the St. John’s Institute of Dermatology, King’s College, London, UK.
Campbell-Chambers is anticipating the inclusion of a medi-spa at the luxury apartment and is proud that SVG will be the first to feature it.
Arusha’s brother, Daniel Campbell, gave an oversight about the evolution of the Villa Views project which initially started 10 years ago. The 12,000 square foot building will feature 12 luxury apartments with modern amenities like an infinity pool, spa, gym, and rooftop event space. It will be built to high energy efficiency standards using renewable energy.
“Solar will be a component of this project, and we will also feature what you will call smart building, but it is what you would refer to as energy efficient lighting…so you will have motion sensors- as you come in a room the lights turn on; when you leave the room light will turn off.”
Also present and bringing brief remarks were Member of Parliament for the East St George constituency and Finance Minister, Camillo Gonsalves as well as Glen Beache the Executive Director of Invest SVG who emphasised the importance of local and regional investment.
“One of the things we take or granted is local and regional investment, and the great thing about what Arusha is doing, it takes into consideration its local investment…Jamaica isn’t as nice as here, but its a regional investment also, so it ticks both boxes. Sometimes we look so much to overseas, that we don’t realise what we actually have within St. Vincent and the Grenadines,” Beache said.
