St Kitts and Nevis PM ties knot with Vincentian diplomat
The daughter of this country’s Minister of Health, tied the knot last weekend with the recently elected Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis in Barbados.
Dr Terrance Drew, the Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, and Diani Jimesha Prince exchanged vows in a joyous ceremony on Saturday February,10, in Barbados surrounded by close family and loved ones.
Following their union, Prime Minister Drew took to Facebook in the evening to express his joy, stating, “It is with a grateful heart that I inform you of my marriage to my wife Mrs Diani Prince-Drew.”
This occasion marked a significant moment for the nation, as the St Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister, its fourth, is the first to marry during their tenure.
Dr Drew, a medical doctor, assumed office as the Prime Minister of the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis on August 5, 2022, after a resounding win in general elections.
Reverend Father David Yarde, who represented the Anglican Diocese of Barbados, conducted the ceremony.
Diani Prince-Drew is the daughter of Minister of Health, Wellness, and the Environment St. Clair ‘Jimmy’ Prince.
After almost five years as the Diplomat/Counsellor of the Permanent Mission of St Vincent and the Grenadines to the United Nations, Diani Jimesha Prince assumed the role of Special Envoy to the European Union when SVG assumed the position of Pro-Tempore President of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean in April 2023.
Prince-Drew identifies herself as a “dynamic Vincentian Attorney-at-Law and Diplomat,” holding close to a decade of experience in various fields of law and international relations.
