He was the talisman for his club, Campdonia-Chelsea, in the 2014 National Club Championships, helping them to second place, whilst copping the leading goal scoring award.
This enabled Slater to be named the Most Valuable Player.
Slater went on to be South Leewardâs top goal scorer, which saw that community crowned as winners of the 2015 National Inter-Community League championships.
To the good, Slater was adjudged the Most Valuable Player as well.
For St Vincent and the Grenadines, Slater scored three goals in the tie with Guyana in the World Cup qualifiers, June 10 and 14.
This put him among the leading goal scorers in the Caribbean Football Unionâs chart in the qualifiers.
He then went on to latch a hat-trick for the Under-23 outfit against Trinidad and Tobago in the Olympics qualifiers in Puerto Rico, June 27.
