THIS RACE was well on, and this one Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves should have known he could not win. While on a visit to the St. Joseph’s Convent Marriaqua, he offered to race with the school’s champion athlete Kineke Alexander but Principal Sister Pat, out of compassion for the elderly, did not allow. He was thus given a less formidable athlete in Kimberly Garraway and, though badly beaten, won the hearts and laughs of many students in the process.
