Conductor charged with damaging government motorcycle

Eldon Garraway, a 23-year-old conductor of Prospect, was arrested and charged on September 6, 2024 with damaging government property.

According to investigations, Garraway allegedly, without lawful excuse, damaged a motorcycle with registration number G-1182 by pushing it to the ground, resulting in damages valued at $215.55 EC.

The motorcycle is the property of the government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.The offence was committed on September 4, 2024 in Kingstown.

Garraway appeared before the Kingstown Magistrate Court on September 9, 2024 and pleaded guilty to the charge. The conditions of his station bail continues and the matter was adjourned to September 10, 2024 for sentencing.
