St Lucian, Arnos Vale man charged with marijuana possession

A St Lucian national and an Arnos Vale man were  jointly charged with drug possession.

Glen Louisien, a 22-year-old labourer of St Lucia and Peter Minors, a 45-year-old farmer of Arnos Vale were arrested by police on August 26, 2024.

According to the investigations, the accused men allegedly had in their possession a 2,132 grammes of cannabis with intent to supply it to another.The offense was committed on August 26, 2024 in Arnos Vale.

Both defendants appeared before the Serious Offenses Court on August 27, 2024. Louisien pleaded guilty to the charge.

Minors pleaded not guilty and the charge against him was withdrawn.  Louisien was fined $1,500 EC to be paid in one month or he will spend three months in prison.
