Preliminary Inquiry to begin November 21 for Vermont man accused of wounding
A Vermont farmer who was arrested and charged on October 28 with the offence of wounding is due to appear in the Serious Offences Court on November, 21 for the start of a Preliminary Inquiry into the matter.
The police said in a release that Ricardo Herbert, 39, was arrested and charged on October 28 for allegedly unlawfully and maliciously wounding a 57-year-old blocks maker of Layou by pushing him to the ground with his hands.
The incident is said have taken place on Friday, October 14 at 1:30 a.m.
Herbert appeared in the Kingstown Magistrate Court on Monday, October 31, 2022, where he pleaded not guilty.
He was granted bail of $6000.00 with one surety and ordered to report to the Vermont police station every Wednesday between 6:00 a.m and 6:00 p.m.
The matter was adjourned to November 1, 2022 and transferred to the Serious Offences Court.
When Herbert appeared in the Serious Offences Court on Tuesday, November 1, the matter was adjourned to November 21 for the preliminary inquiry.
