Lucian man pleads not guilty to cannabis possession

A St Lucian man will return to court on May 13 to answer to a charge of possession of 14,528 grams of cannabis.{{more}}

Maulius Delic and Vandenbert John of Petit Bordel were brought before Chief Magistrate Sonya Young at the Serious Offences Court yesterday and jointly charged with possession of the drug.

Both men maintained their innocence.

Delic was remanded in custody after the magistrate upheld bail objections from the prosecution.

The men were nabbed in the Morne Ronde mountains on February 15 by members of the Rapid Response Unit (RRU)

John was granted $18,000 bail and was ordered to report to the Chateaubelair Police Station on Mondays.(KW)
