Patterson to stand trial for attempted murder
McCarthy âDJâ Patterson will stand before a judge and jury at the next practical sitting of the High Courtâs Criminal Assizes to answer to a charge of attempted murder.{{more}}
After the Preliminary Inquiry concluded yesterday at the Serious Offences Court, Chief Magistrate Sonya Young committed Patterson to the High Court for trial.
He is charged with intent to commit the offence of murder on Jerramie Phillips of Layou, at Happy Hill Mountain, on November 3, 2011.
Nine prosecution witnesses testified in the matter.
Patterson was unrepresented in the matter.
Inspector Adolphus Delpesche led the prosecutionâs case.
