Williams charged with murder of Nero

Four days after Redemption Sharpes resident Stefforn Williams confessed that she had killed her former lover, she was hauled before the Serious Offences Court, charged with his murder.{{more}}

Williams, 53, cleaner, was charged with causing the death of Anthony “Brassy” Nero, 52, of the same address, on August 23, 2011.

She was not required to plea to the indictable charge and the matter was adjourned for Preliminary Inquiry on January 20, 2012.

Scores of angry persons, who gathered outside the court, mobbed the police transport, in which Williams was seated.

Upon alighting the vehicle, persons yelled, “She wicked; she ah Delilah…she only kill de man fo get he house and land…”

As she made her way to the entrance of the court, Williams hid her face with a bag. One woman shouted, “Hang her! If somebody want me to do the job, I go do it…how she go kill fo piece ah house and land?”

On Tuesday, September 13, Nero’s decomposing body was found in a sewage hole in the yard of the house where Stefforn Williams lives at Redemption Sharpes.
