Cop charged with rape of girl while in custody

A police officer has been charged with rape.{{more}}

Constable Kevin Thompson is now out on $15,000 bail after appearing at the Family Court on a charge of rape on Tuesday, July 26.

It is alleged that Thompson, who was at the time stationed at the Questelles Police Station, committed the offence while the girl was in police custody.

Thompson was also ordered to surrender his travel documents.

SEARCHLIGHT also understands that another police officer from the same police station was internally disciplined for harbouring a woman at the station last Friday evening.
