Chief Magistrate Sonya Young, on Wednesday, May 11, found that there was sufficient evidence against Chauncey resident Andre Charles for the matter to be tried in the High Court before a judge and jury.

Small, 22, Bowens, 21 and Antoine 20, were gunned down in Lowmans Hill just shortly after 3pm.

Police had inititally arrested and charged two other men in connection with the homicide. However, Jason Henry and Rodney Roberts were both acquitted of the men’s murder on Wednesday, November 4, 2009, at the Criminal Assizes.

Representing Charles, attorney Sylvester Raymond Cadette entered a no case submission on behalf of his client, stating that the prosecution did not make out a case against Charles.

Prosecutor, Adolphus Delpesche led the case for the prosecution.
