Four charged in connection with Lisbon Lavia’s death

Four young men will return to court on March 31, 2011, for a Preliminary Inquiry hearing into the murder of Lisbon Lavia of Sandy Bay.{{more}}

The Four: Nigel Thomas, 19, Mesopotamia, Shanroy Browne, 18, Cane End, Romeal Diamond, 16, student of Mesopotamia and Jevon Hamlet, 18, student of Cane End, were all remanded in custody at Her Majesty’s Prison after appearing at the Serious Offences Court on Wednesday 22, December.

Lavia, 20, succumbed to multiple stab and chop wounds about his body on December 19, at Heritage Square. It is alleged that a fight broke out between Lavia and a group of men, which resulted in his death.

The homicide toll for 2010 now stands at 24.
