Bequia man remanded on shooting charge

Twenty-seven-year-old Bequia resident, McCarter Leache, has been remanded in custody after being charged with the shooting incident of Enos Wallace Providence, also of the same address.{{more}}

Leache, a gardener, was charged with unlawfully and maliciously wounding Providence on November 6, 2010. Providence was shot twice in his back and once above the left eye at Port Elizabeth, Bequia.

The prosecution objected to bail when Leache appeared on Monday, November 15, at the Kingstown Magistrates Court.

The matter was adjourned to November 22 and transferred to the Serious Offences Court.(KW)
