EC$162,000 in cocaine confiscated
Eighteen pounds of cocaine (8513 grams) with an estimated street value of EC$162,000 (US$60,000) was confiscated by local police on Sunday, October 3, 2010 at Chateaubelair Bay.{{more}}
As a result, David Frederick, a Petit Bordel resident was arrested and charged in connection with the controlled substance.
He appeared at the Serious Offences Court on Monday October 4, and pleaded not guilty to possession of the drug.
The prosecution did not object to bail for Frederick and Chief Magistrate, Sonya Young, set bail in the sum of $100,000. He was also ordered to surrender his travel documents and report to the Chateaubelair Police Station twice a week until the matter comes back up for hearing on January 31, 2011.
Frederick was not represented by an attorney.
