DeRoche remanded for death of common law husband
Nicole DeRoche, 29, a supervisor, is now on remand at this countryâs female penitentiary charged with the stabbing death of her common law husband, Emil John.{{more}}
DeRoche appeared at the Serious Offences Court on Tuesday, June 29, slapped with a charge of murder. She was not allowed to enter a plea to the indictable charge.
John, a landscaper, met his death on June 24, following a domestic dispute with DeRoche. John died on his way to the Canouan Health Centre after receiving a stab wound with a knife to the left side of his neck during the dispute.
The matter was adjourned to October 19, 2010, for Preliminary Inquiry. DeRoche is represented by Lawyer Kay Bacchus-Browne.
