Jasper, a resident of Mt Bentick, is charged with wounding his father, Harold Charles, 68, and brother, Egbert Thomas, 47, at New Chapmans, Georgetown, last weekend.

Harold sustained a cutlass wound to his head, left hand, and nearly had a finger on his right hand severed. On the other hand, Thomas suffered injuries to his right leg, chest and hands.

Prosecutor Inspector Nigel Butcher objected to Jasper’s bail on the grounds that his victims expressed fear for their lives.

Chief Magistrate Sonya Young remanded Jasper until June 23 when the matter is expected get underway. (KW)
