Justice Frederick Bruce-Lyle made the announcement on Tuesday, January 19, at the opening of the January Criminal Assizes at the High Court.
On July 15, 2009, a 12-member jury found Lovelace guilty of Nantonâs murder.
Nantonâs lifeless body was found hanging from a mango tree not too far from her home in Sion Hill on July 2, 2002.
It was the second time in less than five years that Lovelace was convicted for Nantonâs murder. In 2005, Lovelace was found guilty by the High Court. However, the Court of Appeal ordered a re-trial the following year.(KW)
