Police case adjourned
The case involving three police officers who are facing criminal charges has been adjourned to Monday October 26, 2009.{{more}}
The case was adjourned after six witnesses, including three doctors and three police officers gave evidence.
The three: Hadley Ballantyne, Casanki Quow, Osrick James were all charged on July 9, 2009 for causing actual bodily harm to 15-year-old Jemark Jackson.
Jackson alleges that on November 17, 2008, he was kicked in his belly and chest, slammed on the ground and beaten with a piece of hose, causing him to be hospitalised. Jackson spent close to one week at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital in an unconscious state.
Lawyer Arthur Williams represents the police officers while Director of Public Prosecution Colin Williams leads the prosecutionâs case.
All the officers have been suspended pending the outcome of the case.(KW)
